THE GOOD LIFE

Just sitting here thinking about how great life is.

I had such a great weekend.

Spent a day with my lovely pregnant daughter and her sweetie readying the nursery for painting before Belly Bean arrives. Another day was spent unloading some of the POD of my few leftover possessions and lunch at Olive Garden with the same two wonderful people mentioned in the previous sentences.

I also had the chance to spend time with my two precious grand daughters. Addison is so warm and cuddly, such a sweet little baby. Of course, Miss Laina just entertained her grandma the whole time. At one point I was sitting on the floor with my hands in my lap. She walked over, opened my arms and stepped into me. She gave me the sweetest little hug. Jeez, I adore this child! How I love her! She also cried and held her arms up to me when I had to leave. Needless to say, I left later. I am so blessed with my wonderful family.

Sitting in my living room/dining room/kitchen watching a little TV when I should be working on some Girl Scout stuff, but just decided to do this instead. I had a Caesar salad for dinner and topped it off with ice cream. Not totally healthy, but it was so darn tasty.

Here is a picture of my new home. I am so happy to be in such a clean, new, working house! I have cooked several meals for friends and for my little old self.

The fence is complete and the doggies have had several opportunities to run. Dugan was so excited he was beyond happy. Oz had his run, but mainly he wanted treats and attention. He followed Dugan for a few minutes, but Dugan is too fast for Oz to keep up, so he gets bored PDQ.
Callie and Prowler have a warm comfy place on the back deck, so they are content to stay in the back yard. Snaps is about 9 years younger than Callie and Prowler, so she jumps the fence and visits around the neighborhood. Lili and Tre', my two very skittish cats, took off when all of the moving and construction was going on. Haven't seen them since. I am hoping that they come home soon, but if not, I sure hope that they are ok and being taken care of by someone who loves wayward kitties.
My job isn't going to badly. Seems with the move, everyone has developed a new attitude or too occupied with trying to adjust to the new location. Either way, there is a lot less stress for me. I find that I am busier but it's not so crazy. The drive in the morning is the same as the drive was to Coursey as far a time is concerned, but the drive home in the afternoon is whew! I left today about 3 minutes before 5 and made it home in 40 minutes. Leaving at 5 gets me home about 6:30. But I am thinking another 3 1/2 more years will not be too bad. Time will tell.
So all things are going aces and my life is pretty sweet. I am a happy woman. What more can a person wish for?
