I am down to three cats now. Tre' and Lili are very skittish. I tried to put them in an enclosed area so they wouldn't be afraid with all the comings and goings that have occurred during the last month, but that didn't work. Now they are both AWOL. I know they didn't go with the old trailer as I've talked to the guy who bought it and he hasn't seen any strange cats popping out of the house. I know they are doing ok, just scared, but I worried nonetheless. I hope that they've found warm places to wait out the terror of being in my yard lately, then when things go back to normal, they will come home. Snaps, Prowler and Calico are just fine and dandy. The workman have given them so much attention. They are happy kitties. One of the workman for Todor said if Snaps went missing, don't look at his house. I told him he would have to deal with my pregnant hormonal daughter if he took her cat. On second thought, he said, he'd leave Snaps where she was!
All that is left for me to do at my new house is to move furniture out of the POD, easier said then done as I need muscle. I don't want to hire anyone as I've pretty much used up any extra money except for my retirement fund (which I REFUSE to touch...my own personal little slush fund), so I will have to wait until my long lanky son and not so long but as lanky son-in-law to be can help. I really appreciate you guys--thought I'd throw that in advance!
My new sofa should be coming in about two weeks, maybe three. I wish it would come sooner, but I must be patient. I do get tired of sitting in folding chairs, no matter how nice they are! But there is a roof over my head, a warm bed to sleep in, a stove to cook on, tv and internet for company when I am home, so life is good.
