RAIN AND GIRL SCOUT COOKIES DON'T MIX WELL

Sitting here waiting for 8:45 to roll around so that I can head out to Ralph's in the pouring rain to sell Girl Scout cookies on the first day, first spot of booth sales. We always do very well at Ralph's, especially the first day, but it is pouring rain. There is somewhat of a sheltering overhang at the store so the girls will stay dry, but the customers may not be as plentiful because of the rain. Here's hoping they ignore the rain and come out anyway. Tomorrow is supposed to be clean and we have two more booth sales, one is Lowe's and we always do well there too. We have Wally World in Gonzales this afternoon. Maybe the rain will have let up by then. They usually let the girls set up in the cart entry room if it's raining. Hope that still holds true.

Mr Cooper and his momma are leaving for Alvin Texas tomorrow. He will be gone Sunday to Sunday, but it will be two weeks that I will not have seen him by the time they get back. That is the longest period of time that we've been apart in his 6 months. I will miss him so much, but it also gives me an opportunity to have one on one with the girls all day when I babysit and that's good. But I will miss that little fella lots.

Laina is beginning to really related in understandable speech...sometimes I'm still at a lost, but it's getting easier. She is such a large personality for such a small little girl. She is amazing, wonderful and I adore her.

Addi is the happiest little sweetheart. She does Rupert words well when she's in the mood. But she wears that sunshine smile of hers 90% of the time. My heart melts when I see her.

I am so blessed. I have two amazing children who grew up to be even more amazing adults, three of the the cutest grandkids in the world par none, and my children brought into our family this wonderful young woman to be my daughter-in-law (I love this girl like my own daughter...she's GREAT! as Tony Tiger says) and then there's Coop's dad who is pretty great. He has definitely grown on me over the years and I think we'll keep him!

Well, it's time to go sell those cookies!
