It's another rainy day. I am sitting at work wishing I could be home, listening to the rain on the roof, working on Laina's scrapbook. The one good thing about rainy afternoons at work is that when I get in my car in the afternoons, it isn't hot as hell and I actually arrive at home without having to wipe up puddles of perspiration from the drivers seat. We had a really hot first part of the summer and the latter part has been wet. The usual in South Louisiana but that's ok with me for I love it here. 
I had boiled crabs for dinner on Saturday night and left the restaurant thinking how happy I am that I live here. I like being in a place that I can get flavorful spicy seafood whenever I want it.
Yesterday I had a pajama day. I sometimes have pajama weekends, but I've been too busy to have one, so I opted for a pajama day instead. I worked on Laina's scrapbook, washed clothes, working in the scrapbook room a bit, watched 90% of the shows I had on the DVR and fed the animals (which was the only time I stepped out of the house). It was wonderfully lazy day. Of course I went to bed at my usual early morning time, 2am. I used to go to bed about midnight, but lately it's 2am for some reason. I have one night when I can hardly keep awake until 7pm, so I go to bed early, but the following nights I'm back to four hours of sleep preceding a work day.
I am very tired and sleepy at work and the rain doesn't help to enliven me, but I know when I get home I will be wide awake again. It's a very strange way to rest but it works for me.
Only 30 minutes to go before I can "go". The day has gone by fairly quickly but I am ready to leave now!
